Dressage in Saskatoon and the surrounding area
Competitors will notice a few changes in our prize list this year. We’d like to point them out now so people do not miss them.
1- SDC will not be providing show numbers at the shows anymore. You are welcome to use your own (which many do) or we will have show numbers for sale (price will be in prize list) which you may keep after the show. Bonus? no having to remember to return your numbers!
2- Volunteer hours will be required by all competitors. This is something shows in other provinces have moved to, and with our lack of volunteers available to help at the shows this will hopefully help. Each competitor will be required to work 1 shift (expected around 2 hours) for the weekend. This will be scheduled around your show time. If you choose not to volunteer you may have someone else arranged to work your shift (family, friend etc). If a competitor chooses to not volunteer or arrange someone to fill their shift a charge will be added to your entries. Our shows take work to put on, and require volunteers during the show so that we can continue to offer these shows with out increasing charges to riders even more. Each position will offer training and is very easy to do. No horse experience or dressage experience needed.
